This is your 26th opportunity to take part in this most glorious and wonderful festival.
The New Zealand Juggling Association NZJA has been holding this event for many years up and down the country and this year it is being hosted in beautiful Hastings.
The Festival always includes:
A huge number of fabulous, very accessible, casual workshops that anyone can join;
A colourful display of circus and busking performers sharing their amazing talents;
A hilarious, though highly contested, Juggling and Circus Olympics on the Saturday afternoon;
And a wonderful Public Gala Show on the Saturday evening.
This a chance for anyone and everyone to try their hand at all the things you might see in a circus: juggling of every kind, acro-balancing, poi, diabolo, unicycling, hula hoops, contortionism, falling for fun, balance beams, aerial silks and rings, whip cracking and magic tricks. In fact, lion taming is about the only thing not on offer and for a fee you can always find someone to dress up...
This year’s theme is art deco because the NZJA event is happily coinciding with the Art Deco Festival 2018. Come in your finest hat and your best stretchy stripes and make a day of it; or buy a full pass and enjoy the whole glorious weekend from start to finish: camp amongst clowns, juggle around jokers, revel in the Renegade, ogle at the Olympics, guffaw at the Gala and have the best value time, in the best value town during the best value weekend in the Bay!
Included in the full ticket price: camping and use of facilities, a wonderful paella dinner on Friday evening before the Renegade show, bus trip to Gala Show, joining the Olympics, use of the Big and Chill-out tents, and all workshops.
