Say goodbye to 2018 and welcome in 2019 with a night of toe-tapping music, food trucks and a blast of fireworks on Monday 31 December from 8pm to 12 midnight at Whairepo Lagoon by Frank Kitts Park.
Kicking off the event is The Richter City Rebels, Aotearoa’s first and finest New Orleans brass band, blending RnB, soul, hip-hop, jazz and funk for an electrifying performance until 10pm. Then to dance us to the midnight countdown, The Cut Outs will take the stage from 10pm for you to enjoy a mix of top kiwi talent covering a wide range of tracks.
For the wee ones who can’t make it to midnight there’ll be a kid’s countdown at 9pm with some fireworks.
Food trucks will be close by in Odlins Plaza to ensure hunger is kept at bay.
