Miromoda Runway Show is back in Porirua city centre for Matariki 2018.
We’re excited to be hosting this fantastic city centre show for another year at Pātaka Art + Museum. This year’s event will showcase collections from eight of New Zealand's most talented Māori fashion designers. These eight designers are selected from the nationwide Miromoda competition, the winner of which is then announced after the Miromoda Runway Show. At the end of the show you'll have the opportunity to buy pieces from the designers collections.
It will be an amazing night of fashion and the show is now completely SOLD OUT!
General admission tickets are standing, where you'll have great views of the runway and be able to purchase drinks and nibbles from Cafe Kaizen.
The VIP experience includes drinks and nibbles on arrival, a front row seat on the runway, a fashion swag bag, and more!
Here's an overview of the shows programme:
6.30pm – Doors open
7.30pm – For your pre-show entertainment you'll be treated to a City Centre Youth Walk with clothes sourced from Porirua city centre retailers and modelled by Porirua youth.
8.00pm – The much awaited Miromoda Runway Show 2018 will begin
8.45pm – After the show you'll be able to purchase pieces from the designers collections

The Miromoda competition is judged by the Indigenous Māori Fashion Apparel Board – a panel made up of Dame Pieter Stewart, founder of NZ Fashion Week, New Zealand Fashion Week Event Manager Janey Evett and Lucire fashion magazine publisher, Jack Yan.
Miromoda competition and model call provides a great pathway for the youth of Porirua to build confidence and showcase their creative talents through modelling and fashion design.These initiatives provide fantastic opportunities for students at high school, tertiary and post-graduate levels. The Miromoda Runway Show exhibits the best of modern Māori fashion design and is committed to nurturing the development of the fashion industry’s Māori designers.
The Miromoda Runway Show 2018 is a Women's Suffrage 125 event part of the national campaign commemorating 125 years of women achieving the right to vote and inspiring future women of New Zealand.
