After a sell-out in 2017, Mel Parsons returns to Kumeu Live for an intimate show this summer before taking a swag of new songs into the studio.
Parsons will be joined by guitarist and songwriter Josh Logan - expect a mix of new & old songs and some sweet harmonies. With a razor sharp wit and deft hand on the guitar, Parsons will not disappoint.

Mel Parsons is an award-winning folk artist and relentless touring machine, with international performances & festivals taking up more and more of her touring schedule in recent years.
Since its release, Parsons' most recent album ’Drylands’ has spent 49 weeks in the IMNZ album charts, peaking at No.2, and follows the success of both her debut album ‘Over My Shoulder’ in 2009, and sophomore offering ‘Red Grey Blue’ in 2011. Parsons was the winner of the 2016 APRA Country Song of the Year, 2016 MMF Best Independent Tour, is a two-time NZ Music Award (VNZMA) finalist for Folk Album of the Year, a 2015 finalist for the coveted APRA Silver Scroll award.
