Hard Cases is where comedians come to test out new material or performers try stand up comedy for the first time. This fortnightly comedy open mic night is built on the idea of giving anyone a chance to jump up and give it a go. You'll see varying degrees of performances and be part of the hugely supportive atmosphere.
We have a different host up every night guiding you through the fun and we've had some superstars of comedy drop by on the night to test new sets. You just never know what's going to happen at Hard Cases.
7:00 pm is showtime. So make sure you're settled in your seat with a drink in hand for some big laughs. The bar has fries available for purchase also.
Door sales will be available on the night.
Please be aware, this is a Licensed Venue and the material is sometimes explicit in nature. R18.
Table reservations can be requested and we'll answer any questions you have. Just send us a message via our Facebook page or by email to: email@example.com
Whether you've been performing for ages, or for the first time, if you're keen to participate, it's a 6:45 pm sign up with a max of 7 performers so get in quick.
Comics who have never been to Hard Cases have the first choice, followed by comics who are testing for shows, then comics who didn't do the last Hard Cases, followed by everyone else. Please stick to these rules on sign up to ensure it's fair for all and the audience gets the best show possible each night.
Come along and watch one and meet the team first if you're nervous. We'll help you to get up on stage and have a good time.
Set lengths are 5 minutes - you will get a light at 4 mins from our host to let you know you should be wrapping up shortly. If you go over time you will be cut off, so stick to your allocated time.
We have one 10 minute headline spot and a show host which is usually booked ahead of time but sometimes available for a pro who stops by. If you're interested in either the Headline spot or the Host spot, please email your application with your bio through to firstname.lastname@example.org.
