We’re “Keeping it Local” with a four-course meal prepared by the award-winning country pub, The Puketapu, matched with wines from two highly acclaimed and award-winning artisan local Puketapu wine brands, Alchemy and Silverton Estate. Situated in the picturesque Puketapu village, guests will get to experience a little bit of country, with the hospitality and views that go with it!
Guests will be greeted in the restaurant with a glass of Alchemy Rose on arrival, while listening to the smooth sounds of local musician, Eilish Rose. Guests will be seated and local winegrower and maker, Neal Cave, from Alchemy Wines will be on hand to introduce the evening. He will be joined by Ant Mackenzie, one of New Zealand’s leading winemakers (and Hawke’s Bay “born & bred”!), who is also the consultant winemaker for both wine brands. Neal and Ant will inform guests about the wines from Alchemy, as well as Bruce Leppard’s wines from Silverton Estate, that will be tasted through the evening. They will also be available during the event to chat to guests and answer any questions they may have.
Guests will then be delighted with a superb four-course meal from Head Chef, Jess Brown, from The Puketapu - with as much of the menu being sourced from the local Puketapu area as possible. All courses will be matched with a glass of wine from either Alchemy or Silverton Estate. Guests are welcome to mingle afterwards and enjoy our fine country hospitality.
Ticket includes a drink on arrival, four-course degustation dinner matched with wines, and transport to and from the venue (as well as a fun night, of course!).
