Rug up and join us at Moana Park Winery for an afternoon of smoke and fire - slow cooked over coals in the purpose-built fire pit.
Start the afternoon with a glass of Moana Park Chardonnay and ember-baked Brie with garlic and thyme. Sit around the fire pit and chat with the chefs while they baste the succulent offerings of Patangata station meats, before sitting down to a shared lunch of ember and flame-cooked dishes matched to Moana Park’s wine. Age-old cooking techniques paired with age-old wine making habits of Moana Park.
Look forward to charred Bostock chickens, clay and vine wrapped vegetables cooked in coals, Hawkes Bay’s own Patangata Station beef and lamb all perfectly matched with Moana Park’s natural, feisty reds. Finish the event around the fire, toasting marshmallows.
12:00pm: arrive at Moana park. Be greeted with a glass of Chardonnay and ember baked Brie.
12.30pm: shared lunch of coal and flame cooked foods.
1:00pm: talk from Dan re wines and natural wine making.
