A Badminton World Federation (BWF) sanctioned World Grand Prix international tournament featuring 250-300 players from throughout the world. See top badminton at the North Shore Events Centre over 5 days of intense world class competition, starting on Wednesday 10th April with the qualifying competitions and the first round of the men’s singles, finishing on Sunday 14th April with the finals of all events

The SKYCITY New Zealand Badminton Open is the highest category BWF event to be held in New Zealand and promises to produce action packed quality badminton with smash speeds of over 250km/hr. This tournament follows the Yonex Australian Open in Sydney and is followed by the Tahiti International giving players a nice tour of Oceania. This tournament is a chance to see New Zealand’s top and up and coming players in action on their home turf.

Tickets are limited, particularly the Premium seating, so be in early to avoid disappointment. Premium is court-level seating, General Admission is elevated seating. Ticket prices are inclusive of all fees.

Transport tickets can also be purchased online and are SKYCITY to North Shore Event Centre and return to coincide with the start and end of each day's schedule. Purchasers will be advised by email of exact departure times.

Court-side hospitality packages will be available for the semi-finals and finals and will be announced in February.

Tournament Schedule: *
Wednesday 10th April – from 9am – qualifying events. From 6pm – Men’s Singles first round
Thursday 11th April – from 10am – all events
Friday 12th April – from 10am – all events, from 6pm – quarter-finals all events
Saturday 13th April – from 12 noon – semi-finals all events
Sunday 14th April – from 12 noon – finals all events
