Hold onto your helmets, New Zealand roller derby, because one of the heavyweights of the flat track is coming to Auckland to teach you how to kick ass and take names. Are you ready for what Mercy has in store for you?
Mercy hails from Portland Oregon, where she skates as part of Rose City Rollers’ all-star team, Wheels of Justice. As part of the team that enthralls fans and derby players alike year after year, Mercy has honed her skills as a formidable blocker, capable of working alone and with her teammates to achieve a goal she refers to as “inspiring jammer retirement”. When Mercy takes the track against rival teams such as The Oly Rollers, you can be sure that the jammer barrel rolling onto her face got there because Mercy put her there.
Mercy is an accomplished coach and has travelled the world alongside coaching buddies Scald Eagle (Rose City) and Juke Boxx (Minnesota) as part of their company Left Turn Coaching. Mercy is bringing her skills to Auckland for two nights only to help you tune up your defensive game, improve your offensive game and hopefully help you take a few steps towards being a bigger bad ass out on the track.
